Hello my name is Suz I am a qualified counsellor and member of the BACP. I work from the renaissance therapy centre in Harborne located just off the high street and accessible by public transport from all areas of Birmingham. I also offer counselling in Birmingham city centre. I offer a safe therapeutic environment. I work in a Person Centred Approach this means I believe you are the the expert on yourself and that every person is unique. I will work with you offering a confidential and non judgemental relationship. Enabling you to explore your feelings. Counselling can help you feel empowered and discover your own resources. I also work within the NHS working with LGBT client group. I offer a positivity affirming space to lesbian gay bisexual and trans clients. I am aware of how issues such as coming out , sexual identity and cultural diversity can impact greatly on your daily life. I have also worked with Solihull Bereavement Counselling Service. The aim of Hear 4u Counselling Service is to provide you with a confidential opportunity for you to explore your thoughts and feelings in safety, to assist your learning, healing, understanding and growth. My role is to help you through this process without judgement or telling you what to do. I may on occasions give information or offer suggestions. If at any time I feel I cannot help you in this way, I will offer to refer you to someone who can. Confidentiality Our work together remains confidential and I will not discuss what we talk about in sessions outside of the sessions. There is however a couple of exception to this: I am required to attended supervision in order to ensure that you receive the best possible service. Any information the supervisor has about you will be treated in confidence. Also if in the exceptional circumstance that I felt either you or someone else were in danger or at risk of harm I would discuss with you first the possibility of breaking confidentiality. Ethical Standards I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
