Isabel dos Santos - Counselling Services
Worcester, Worcestershire, WR6 5TU
I am an experienced Counsellor, working for several years in Primary Care (NHS) and charities. I work with people with various presentations: depression, anxiety, PTSD, complex trauma, to name a few. You might be trying to come to terms with life changes, including the loss of a loved one; are at a cross roads, trying to figure out what to do next; lost interest in life; or you are confused, trying to understand your feelings and who you are. It is important that you can navigate through those difficult situations with the appropriate support to help you feel empowered to deal with present and future problems. Entering therapy can feel overwhelming but your concerns will be treated in a sensitive and professional manner. You will be in control of the depth and pace of our work. I have a Humanistic approach, but my work has evolved over the years by integrating other aspects from different theories and recent research.

Time with Me Therapeutic Services
Kidderminster, Worcestershire, DY11 5DA
Play therapy is particularly beneficial for children who may struggle to express emotional stress or trauma through words. A Play Therapist offers children a wide range of games, toys and activities to help them express their worries and feelings at their own pace and in a language they are comfortable with. Play therapy uses a child's natural means of expression, play. Possible reasons a child might be referred are challenging or aggressive behaviour, experiencing a form of trauma such as a death in the family, parents separated, witnessing domestic abuse, child has been abused. Finding school difficult, being bullied, or have friendship issues, quiet, withdrawn and upset a lot.

Faye Wilson Counselling & Psychotherapy
Worcester, Worcestershire, WR2 6PG
I am a fully qualifed counsellor, and a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). The BACP is one of the UK's biggest counselling organisation, and I use their ethical framework and standards to guide my practice. I am insured, and I have an up to date DBS Certificate. I have my office in an elegant, old manor house in Hallow, 3 miles from Worcester city centre. The house and grounds are beautiful, and it is a great place for therapy to take place. I decided to train as a counsellor because I have always been interested in people; listening to them, learning from them, helping them. I love what I do; to be able to walk alongside somebody in their time of need is such a privilege. I work predominately in a Person-Centred way, and follow the work and teachings of Carl Rogers. This approach really emphasises the importance of the relationship between the counsellor and the client, and the need for me to be as empathic, non-judgemental and as 'real' as possible. These core conditions allow growth and development; being valued and prized as a person can help you accept yourself, reconnect with who you really are, and make changes in your life. I create a safe, warm and supportive space for you to explore your emotions, to make sense of your situation, to re-examine your relationships and think about yourself. We can discuss your life experiences, difficult decisions, relationships, your home or work life, your past, new ways to cope, anything you want. The Person-Centred approach highlights the need for the client to be in control. I work in a non-directive way, ensuring that we talk about what you want to talk about, at your own pace. This is so important to me, because of course, you are the expert in your own life. In our sessions, I will sometimes challenge you, but I will never give you advice, or push you to talk about something you don't want to. I will encourage you to lead the way, but you will have me walking alongside with you, helping you on your journey. Sometimes, clients find it useful if I draw upon other approaches such as Mindfulness, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Personal Coaching. These approaches can offer some real insight into the way your mind might be working, and how you have the power to change the way you think. I use worksheets to help us work through these techniques and track your progress.
