I focus on the practical side of learning guitar, introducing theory elements only as they are needed so you can spend more time playing the instrument. Beyond the basics, I introduce pieces from a range of periods and composers from the 16th to the 20th century, to give an idea of the vast range of wonderful music available to the student guitarist. Lessons are held at my home in Horsforth, with a free introductory half-hour meeting to introduce ourselves and address any questions you might have. My rates are £10 for a half-hour and £15 for an hour. I normally teach one-to-one, but if you are interested in small-group tuition please contact me to discuss this.
