Darwin Cottage - A Peaceful Self-Catering Holiday Cottage in Elgin. Darwin Cottage lies high up on the banks of the River Lossie on a hill overlooking Elgin City. It is a sunny cottage facing directly South and is tucked away amidst the peaceful grounds of Braemorriston House. The entire Cottage is at ground level apart from the fun ''tower'' room built into a raised turret. The cottage sleeps up to six. There is a twin bedroom and a double on the ground floor and a sofa-bed in the tower which sleeps another two. The tower can also be used as a games room for children to provide the adults with some peace. A travel cot can be provided on request to sleep a small child. There is a large lounge, a kitchen with dining facities, two WC''s (one with a shower and the other with a bath), a large garden and private parking for up to two cars. The Cottage was recently renovated to a high standard of decor and HMO certificate Health and Safety standards and is new to the holiday letting market this year, 2009. For the comfort of guests we operate a no smoking policy within the Cottage. Shops for essential supplies are two minutes stroll from the cottage site and Elgin City centre just 5 minutes walk away, offering a wide selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and nightclubs. It is ideal not just for a golfing, fishing, or a seaside holiday but also for touring the Malt Whisky and Castle trails, as well as longer day trips for visiting the Cairngorms or Loch Ness. Beggshill Bothy

Beggshill Bothy is a recently renovated farm cottage with views over the glen to a forested area where the deer graze in the clearings and buzzards soar overhead. Beyond the crest of the glen, it is just possible to see the graceful turning windmills of the Foundland wind power farm. The bothy is situated on our 3 acre small holding. The area is very quiet with few cars travelling down the road, and those that do need to travel at a gentle pace to avoid the pheasants, rabbits and occasional hare. The Bothy itself has a bedroom, shower room with toilet and a kitchen/dining room. The bedroom has an ample double bed and the kitchen/dining room has a sofa bed. The bothy is fully centrally heated and the water comes from a well on the other side of the Glen.
