MetalpaX Ltd is a family run business with over 50 years experience in the engineering trade. We currently offer in-house Laser profiling, Flame cutting, and Lumsden plough grinding, to the highest standards, to service the industrial requirements in the South East of England. We believe we can offer a competitive, personal service to help our customers achieve their aims, and are also big enough to handle larger requirements such as those of the construction industry. We have a CNC Bystronic Laser profiling machine, with a maximum cutting area of 2500 x 1250.We can offer Mild Steel from 0.8mm to 10mm, and various grades of Stainless Steel from 0.8mm to 3mm. We can also cut mild steels with finishes such as Zintec and Galvanising. We have two CNC profiling machines with the ability to cut up to 140mm thick material. We stock most thicknesses of EN10025 S275JR between 5mm and 140mm, and can process most popular thicknesses of EN10025 S355 (Grade 50) and BS970080M40 (EN8). We can also source many carbon steels outside of this range if required. We can usually fit in that urgent breakdown job to get you out of trouble – that’s the personal service that our customers have come to rely on. We can work from dimensioned drawings, full-scale templates, and can import your DXF / DWG program files. We can also work from your original steel items, which can often be advantageous if you need to replace or repair broken and damaged items. We have 1 rotary Lumsden Grinder - 60 inches (1524mm) in diameter – and 5 reciprocating Lumsden Grinders - the largest capable of grinding 60” by 24” (1524mm x 610mm). We can also edge grind items up to 10” (254mm) wide. All our plough grinding is to the highest standard. We can take in your free issue material for plough grinding or supply items complete profiled and ground.
