VALUATIONS insurance probate family division I undertake written valuations for any of the above purposes. Colour illustrated certificates for single items can normally be completed on the same day at my Mayfair office for a fee of £125+ VAT. Alternatively appointments can be scheduled at your bank, work (Including Canary Wharf and the City) or home. Historically I have travelled internationally to Switzerland,U.S.A & Asia instructed by Insurance Companies & Art Consultants. My most memorable valuation were the remarkable Jewels of Imelda Marcos in a bank in Manila whilst working for Sotheby''s. REPLACEMENT DIAMONDS & PRECIOUS STONES I undertake instructions to source diamonds, coloured stones & natural pearls whether for Insurance Companies, Loss Adjusters or Private Individuals. All diamonds are sourced from my network of diamond cutters usually from Antwerp and offer highly competitive prices on G.I.A & H.R.D laboratory certificated stones. The precious stones are also all offered with Gubelin & SSEF certificated stones. DESIGN SERVICE The perfect design & setting for stones can be chosen in close liaison with one of London''s finest master jewellers whose workshop is located at 174 New Bond Street. The Director of this prestigious atelier is the former head of the Cartier workshop (English Artworks), with over 25 years experience in making pieces to the most beautiful & intricate of designs. SALE BY PRIVATE TREATY I can arrange for a private sale of your jewels or diamonds to either private collectors, or international dealers. Your security is paramount and your jewels will remain in your care until receipt of funds in full. Payments are normally by bankers draft, but can also be a made by bank wire transfer by prior arrangement. INSURANCE COVER I should be delighted to recommend you to an insurance broker for a quotation for many market leading policies such as Chubb Masterpiece & Hiscox. PROFILE I began my twenty-year career in the jewellery field as an expert cataloguer at Phillip''s London in 1981. Three years later I moved to Sotheby''s London as an expert valuer having in the meantime qualified as a gemmologist and gained the Gemmological Association''s Diamond Diploma. I became Sotheby''s youngest ever Deputy Director in 1989 and qualified as an auctioneer in 1991. Two years later I left for Amsterdam where he became Head of Sotheby''s Jewellery Department, regularly visiting the important diamond-trading centre of Antwerp. I was appointed as a Director of Sotheby''s International Jewellery Department in 1994 and returned to London in 1996 where he became Head of UK Jewellery Sales. Whilst at Sotheby''s I was chosen as the expert to value the Imelda Marcos collection of jewellery in Manila in 1994. In 1999, I left Sotheby''s in order to fulfil my long held ambition of founding my own private consultancy. I receive instructions both from Solicitors, Art Agents Insurance Brokers and Private Individuals. I am often recommended by both Christies Valuation & Jewellery departments.Both Christies Valuation & Jewellery departments often recommend me. I regularly assist with the valuation of important Jewellery Collections, Diamonds & Precious Stones.
