Tudor Picture Restoration offers art conservation, picture cleaning and restoration to both public and private clients throughout the UK, we started out in 1987 we have many years of experience in the fine art conservation profession, we undertake all types of picture and frame restoration projects from minor repairs and cleaning to large scale work from historic to contemporary works of art. Our services range from restoration and cleaning of oil paintings and frames, restoration on murals, split panel repairs, various types of varnishes applied to suite the individual requirements of each picture, surface dirt removal, discoloured varnish removal, canvas repair, re-filling torn canvas areas, patching torn canvases, traditional wax and resin based canvas linings and re-linings, tear mending, fire and smoke damage, water and flood damage, cracked paint, foxing removal, frame restoration, re-moulding of frame ornamentations, gesso work, frames; delicately re-gilded keeping the original patina (all variants of gold leaf acquired), toning to any finish as required, insurance reports, national collection and delivery service available.
